Live for Speed is an extremely serious racing simulation game with many different options and levels. In S2 you'll race against the AIs or against other human players, but the best fun is to be had online, in multiplayer mode where you can pit against the computer generated AIs. As in the real world, there are a variety of vehicles, each with its own strengths and weaknesses and Live for Speed has some very nice custom designs too.
The way this game is played is that you don't have an actual car to play with, just a simple bike. You start by selecting one of several available bikes from a selection on your computer screen. After selecting a bike, you are able to go to any of three main courses - the tracks of the game - to see how you fair against the computer generated drivers. The PC version of the game features an improved track map, making it look more realistic, as well as various other graphics upgrades and bug fixes. It's also a lot easier to play the game now with one click on the mouse, rather than having to aim the mousewheel like you used to.
This online game is free to download, although if you wish to upgrade to the full version of Live for Speed, which offers more features, you may have to pay a fee. It would be good to buy the full version of the game if you want to experience all of the upgrades and the new courses, because the free download versions do not include many of the high quality courses. To play the game online you must be connected to the Internet, which should already be the case with most people today.
